Christian has been in fitness in one form or another since he was very young. He played soccer for 10 years, and decided to switch it up, and took up boxing. He was able to bring all of the discipline, footwork, hard work, dedication, and cardio to his boxing career from all his time in soccer.
Boxing started off as something he wanted to learn and something as a person he needed to do. The perception around him was that he was a softy, and it was nice to switch that up, transforming who he thought of as himself, as well as how others saw him. He has taken a few breaks from boxing over his career, but "the stink of the gloves" keeps drawing him back.
Christian is excited about the atmosphere and community at Anatomy Boxing. When a lot of people come together to do a really good thing, it’s a great opportunity to learn from great people, but also add something of himself to this. "The best medicine that one can take is being honest and being held accountable. Some coaches won’t point out certain flaws or certain tendencies, and those tendencies that need to get corrected but don’t can be the ultimate price that one has to pay in the ring." Christian wants to turn pro in the near future, something he’s always wanted to cross off his bucket list. And when he’s had about 10-15 bouts, call it, and transition over to giving everything he’s learned to others.
