Joe started getting into fitness about 5-6 years ago, starting with strength and conditioning. He took up boxing 4 years ago when he happened to drive past a boxing gym on his way to sign up at another gym. He's been doing a mix of both boxing and strength and conditioning ever since. He has been consistently lifting and boxing almost every morning since we opened.
Joe loves the mental aspect of boxing. That you have to be super controlled, and there's a lot of strategy involved in it.
Joe enjoys sharing the techniques and things he's learned over the years, not just in fitness but in life too. You can take so much of it into your regular life - like keeping yourself controlled, your breathing controlled - and it's so helpful with all kinds of stress in your life. He loves training and helping other people train, making himself stronger, and helping other people get stronger. He's a natural coach and a positive energy around the gym, and we're excited to have him coaching for us!
