Jordan was always into athletics growing up and learned over time that the more fit he was, the more successful he would be competing. He played basketball, soccer, and football, and at the end of high school, he took up boxing. Boxing required him to be really fit and that pushed him to reach his fitness goals.
Jordan had some friends growing up who boxed, and he was always curious. It seemed like such a rough and tough sport from the outside, but he grew up playing chess and found there were a lot of similarities between the two. The saying “It’s not a tough man’s sport, it’s a thinking man’s sport" really resonated with him. That made him want to improve on the technical side of things. Understanding the strategy behind it was always intriguing.
He started seriously training when he was 19. It was one of the hardest and one of the best things he’s ever done. It taught him discipline and how to work hard. Over time he got to see the rewards both inside and outside the ring. Jordan's goal is to have a professional fight of his own at some point in his career. In the meantime, having success as a coach and seeing the results his clients get from his training and seeing them progress is a really cool thing. "Teaching others is a passion of mine. I enjoy helping them progress and reach their goals."
